It says larger people are more likely to attract them - that would explain why they are bothering me more than they did in times past!

Thanks for you missive on the BBFI Preachers list. Is God on Our Side.
Abraham Lincoln is said to have replied much as you suggested. It isn't as important that God be on our side as it is that we are on His, or words to that effect.
It's easier for me to pray, "Lord, bless your work for your glory." than to pray, "Here's what I am going to do, please bless it."
